Operational Update – Gry Maritha Cancelled Sailings, Monday 7th & Wednesday 9th April 2025

During Gry Maritha’s scheduled maintenance, extensive work has been carried out on the vessel’s anchor windlass, which has required a new shaft being manufactured. However, additional essential work is still required to ensure that the vessel is operationally fit and reliable. The shaft will return to Penzance on Monday morning with further engineering work, including cutting keyways, fitting to the rotor, and drilling the shaft for the control rods taking place over the weekend.

The extent of the work required has led to a longer maintenance period than initially expected. However, we remain confident that Gry Maritha will return to scheduled service on Friday, 11th April, and we will continue to keep you updated on our progress.

Freight Arrangements:

All freight including chilled and frozen will be transported on Scillonian III.

Gugh will make additional sailings although capacity will unfortunately be restricted during this time.

Dangerous Goods:

Scillonian III and Gugh can accommodation some dangerous goods and these should be booked in advance as space is limited. Bookings will be taken on first come, first served basis.

We sincerely apologise for this disruption and understand the inconvenience it may cause.

Please be assured that we are working hard to complete these vital works as quickly and safely as possible. We appreciate your patience and will provide further updates as soon as we have more information.
